Compensating the compensator: a demonstration of nonlinearity cancellation in a WDM system
Abstract
Spectral inversion was used in a three-channel WDM system to reduce an infinite four-photon-mixing penalty to 1.5 dB. This reduction was made possible by compensation of phase-conjugator-induced distortions of the signal.
