The production and global distribution of emissions to the atmosphere of 1,1,1-trichloroethane (methyl chloroform)

In order to provide a detailed breakdown of emission rates of 1,1,1-trichloroethane (methyl chloroform) for use in 3D models of the atmosphere, a country-by-country distribution of emissions has been developed. It was derived from a distribution of chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) consumption by country which showed that gross domestic product was the most appropriate parameter by which to assign global and regional emissions.
