The multiple frequencies of the δ Scuti variable CC Andromedae.
Abstract
By applying a new multiple-frequency analysis to observations of CC Andromedae made by Fitch in 1956 and 1957, a seven-frequency solution, incorporating the six frequencies of Fitch together with a new one of 7.9024cycles/day, has been developed. The seven frequencies were used to fit the new photometric data of CC And obtained at Beijing Astronomical Observatory, as well as nine other data sets and provide more accurate fits to all of the data than the six frequencies do. Based on the calculation of Q values for the seven frequencies, the pulsation mode identification of CC And was made and indicates that CC And is a pulsator with multiple nonradial pulsation modes and a low rotational velocity.
