45 MHz observations of six pulsars from the southern hemisphere.
Abstract
We have observed the pulsars PSR 0031-07, PSR 0628-28, PSR 0826-34, PSR 0834+06, PSR 0950+08 and PSR 2045-16 using the University of Chile 45MHz array. The integrated pulse profiles were obtained for all six pulsars by integrating over a few hundred to a few thousand periods depending on the pulsar. For PSR 0628-28, PSR 0834+06 and PSR 0950+08, pulse heights of 20.7, 24.3 and 22.9 standard deviations from the noise outside of the pulse were obtained respectively. Our observations of three of these pulsars at 45MHz are the lowest frequency at which they have ever been observed. We determined the pulse width at half intensity in five of the pulsars observed. The peak and mean flux density and the pulse energy were determined for four of the observed pulsars. We are able to identify the frequency of the turn-over of the energy spectra in PSR 0834+06 and PSR 0950+08. The energy spectrum of PSR 0628-28 does not show a turn over even at the lowest frequency at which it has been observed.
