Vortex dynamics in the classical two-dimensional XY antiferromagnet
Abstract
We derive the equation of motion for vortices in a two-dimensional classical antiferromagnet with easy -plane anisotropy, using a Lagrangian formulation. We estimate the effective mass of a free vortex for temperatures above the Kosterlitz-Thouless transition temperature.
