Temperature breakdown phenomenon in tungsten single crystals
Abstract
The transverse magnetoresistance and the Hall coefficient of tungsten single crystals with resistance ratios up to 100.000 were measured in the temperature range from 4.2 to 60K and in magnetic fields up to 15T. It is shown that intersheet electron-phonon scattering leads to the temperature breakdown effect at high fields.
