The magnetostatic modes of a LaYIG/Al film

The ferromagnetic resonance spectra of a LaYIG and LaYIG/Al film have been measured with the static magnetic field H₀ applied parallel to the film surface. There are two main resonance peaks which correspond to two new surface modes with opposite propagating direction. The dispersion equation of a ferrimagnet/nonmagneticmetal double-layered film magnetized parallel to its face is established to analyze the result. The calculated relative positions of the main peaks are in good agreement with those measured.
