Study of anomalous electrical behaviour of molybdenum ditelluride single crystals
Abstract
Single crystals of molybdenum ditelluride have been grown by the chemical vapour transport (CVT) technique using tellurium tetrachloride as the transporting agent. Electrical conductivity studies have been carried out for the grown single crystals. MoTe 2 exhibited a nonlinear electrical behaviour due to the presence of a transporting agent in the lattice.
