Photoelectric Photometry of Ten Small and Fast Spinning Asteroids
Abstract
In this paper we present the results of a series of observational campaigns carried out from 1984 to 1992 at the European Southern Observatory (ESO, La Silla, Chile) devoted to the determination of the rotational properties of small asteroids, to enlarge the available data set and to obtain bias-free photoelectric observations of small asteroids. We have obtained complete lightcurves and computed for the first time reliable rotational periods for the asteroids 355 Gabriella (Psyn = 4h.830), 378 Holmia (Psyn = 4h.45), 614 Pia (Psyn = 4h.576), 725 Amanda (Psyn = 3h.749), 915 Cosette (Psyn = 4h.445), 1188 Gothlandia (Psyn = 3h.493), 1266 Golia (Psyn = 4h.097), 1860 Barbarossa (Psyn = 3h.255), 1884 Skip (Psyn = 3h.079), and 3284 1953 NB (Psyn = 4h.307). We determined also the U-Band B-V color indices of seven of the observed asteroids.
