A recuperative superfluid Stirling refrigerator
Abstract
A superfluid Stirling refrigerator has been built with a counterflow heat exchanger serving as a recuperative regenerator. It has achieved temperatures of 296 mK with a 4% He-3 - He-4 mixture. Cooling power versus temperature and speed is presented for a 6.6% mixture.
