Development of generic experiment technology
Abstract
The National Space Development Agency of Japan has been developing Generic Experiment Technologies for the users of space station JEM: Japanese Experiment Module. They include twenty seven elemental technologies now under development. 'g-jitter effect evaluation' and 'gas processing' technologies, which are representative elemental technologies of the generic experiment technology, are developed by performing preliminary experiments of Space Flyer Unit/Exposed Facility Flyer Unit/Gas Dynamics Experiment Facility project. Some of the key technologies related to materials processing of vapor growth are developed in this program. The influence of g-jitter on CVD process under microgravity was evaluated based on the microgravity experiments using parabolic flight by MU-300 airplane.
