Excitation of a laser medium by the light of an auxiliary sub-Poisson laser
Abstract
It is shown that strictly deterministic pumping is not required for the onset of sub-Poisson lasing. It is sufficient that only the low-frequency excitation noise be suppressed. This can be achieved, for instance, through active medium excitation by the emission of an auxiliary sub-Poisson laser.
