Optics, illumination, and image sensing for machine vision VII; Proceedings of the Meeting, Boston, MA, Nov. 15, 16, 1992
Abstract
Topics addressed include illumination and viewing methods and systems; optical image manipulation and processing; imaging system and scene models; and 3D sensing and measurement. Particular attention is given to asynchronous exposure control of a line scan camera, a color linear image sensor for vision applications, pattern recognition based on morphological transformations and its optical implementation, sensitivity of camera calibration, computer modeling and simulation of camera defocus, a simple and accurate camera calibration method, a subpixel edge location shift, a computer-synchronized 3D triangulation sensor for robot vision, a fast and precise 3D sensor insensitive to ambient light, and a 3D active vision system with high lateral resolution and large depth of field.
