Investigation of the scattering characteristics of bodies of revolution of arbitrary shape in the quasi-optical region
Abstract
The geometrical-optics method is used to investigate electromagnetic-wave scattering by electrically large, arbitrarily shaped bodies of revolution with multilayer coatings. A quantitative evaluation of the effective scattering area of objects of spherical and ellipsoidal shape is presented.
