Polynomial fusion rings from SL(2, R) ChernSimons theory
Abstract
We derive the onevariable polynomial fusion rings of the A and D series of the SU(2) conformal models and of the minimal models of the Virasoro discrete series from the quantization of the SL(2, R) ChernSimons theory with fractional charge. Moreover, we associate a fusion ring with positive integer structure constants to the KacWakimoto set of irreducible representations of the SL(2, R) current algebra.
