Perturbed N = 2 Superconformal Field Theories
Abstract
Relevant perturbations of two-dimensional N = 2 superconformal quantum field theories are studied in this thesis. The minimal models are studied using conformal perturbation theory, and it is explicitly shown that there are no non-trivial fixed points in the perturbative regime by calculating the beta-functions. The topological sector of an N = 2 Landau-Ginzburg model is analyzed non-perturbatively using the topological-anti-topological fusion equations. The correlation functions are computed numerically in the neighborhood of a fixed point, and the results are compared to semi -classical calculations. In particular, the behavior of the renormalization group flow between two superconformal field theories is examined in detail.
