SRS peaking circuit for femtosecond terawatt laser systems
Abstract
An optical scheme allowing the duration of a femtosecond light pulse front to be reduced is suggested. An SRS converter is placed between the amplification cascades of a wideband femtosecond terawatt laser system based on titanium sapphire. The SRS converter operates on rotational levels of orthohydrogen. The radiation at the first Stokes component is received via polarization output and then amplified.
