On calculating the distribution function for estimates of coordinates of television starimage centroids.
Abstract
The paper deals with an approach which allows to determine the form of probability distribution function of coordinate estimates for an optical starimage centroid when the image is obtained with a solid chargetransfer device. The scope for applying the method of distributed space of estimates is discussed for the case when statistical hypotheses are tested in the conditions of a priori uncertainty of statistical parameters of signals, noise, and sky background.
