Physical Studies of Asteroids. Part XXVII. Photoelectric Photometry of Asteroids 14 Irene, 54 Alexandra and 56 Melete
Abstract
New values of rotation periods for 14 Irene (15.06±0.02 hours) and 56 Melete (18.14±0.04 hours) and an improved value for 54 Alexandra (7.024±0.001 hours) were determined from photometric observations of these asteroids in 1990-1992. For 54 Alexandra the spin vector was determined (λ01 = 160°, β01 = 45° or λ02 = 290°, β02 = 55°) and for 14 Irene some constraints could be put on the orientation of the pole. Composite lightcurves for all observed asteroids are presented as well as the phase curve for 14 Irene.
