Coronal Magnetic Structures of AB Doradus
Abstract
It is proposed to obtain EUVE spectrum of AB Doradus, which is one of the most active stars in the solar neighborhood, in an attempt to shed light on the temperature structure of coronal magnetic loops. The spectrum could help to resolve the currently unexplained, two-component temperature structure of stellar coronae seen in the EINSTEIN and EXOSAT spectra and the low temperature deficiency seen in the GINGA spectra of AB Dor. The EUVE spectrum will be compared with theoretical models of coronal loops.
