The spectral investigation of the dwarf galaxy Markarian 773.
Abstract
A spectral investigation of the galaxy Markarian 773 is carried out on the basis of spectral observations. It is shown that Markarian 773 is a blue compact dwarf galaxy with an iE morphological classification. The nuclear nature of the condensations identified in the galaxy was not proven. The brightest condensation located outside the central region of the galaxy is the giant HII region with a high star formation rate. The two other condensations are ordinary HII regions. The giant HII region is a younger formation. It is suggested that star formation takes place along the galaxy's entire body.
