Effective Quantum Field Theories.
Abstract
The effective field theory formalism and its application to problems in particle physics are explored in this thesis. The utility of effective quantum field theories which exploit valuable symmetry information and systematically organize complex calculations is emphasized. Specific applications to rare weak decays, vector meson phenomenology and heavy hadrons systems are considered.
