The Lepton Charge Asymmetry from W(+,-) Boson Going to MUON(+,-) Neutrino Using Forward Muons at the Collider Detector at Fermilab
Abstract
This thesis is the first observations of forward -backward muon events from W^{+/- } to mu^{+/-}nu decays in p| p collisions at sqrt{s} = 1.8TeV. These events were collected by the Collider Detector at Fermilab during the 1988-89 run and were used to measure the lepton charge asymmetry. An asymmetry of -.06 +/-.27 +/-.01 was measured where the.27 was the statistical uncertainty and the.01.
