The Spectrum of the Dwarf ME Flare Star AD Leonis
Abstract
A spectrum synthesis analysis of eight spectra obtained during the non-flaring state of the cool dMe4 flare star AD Leo, yielded a mild, consistent underabundance, about 0.4 dex with respect to the Sun, for all metals. The turbulence and rotational velocities were consistent with previous studies. If the abundance results are real, the star may be older than commonly thought, however filling in one of the line cores by emission cannot be ruled out. (SECTION: Stars)
