Electromagnetic pulse dispersion from diffraction on a three-dimensional holographic grating in Bragg geometry
Abstract
In this study the authors analyze the temporal effects arising from the dynamic diffraction of a phase-modulated optical pulse with a Gaussian envelope by a three dimensional holographic grating of finite thickness. Results of this study show that for pulses with a spectrum comparable to the bandwidth of the plate, the temporal intensity profiles of the transmitted pulse will acquire a distinct two peak structure.
