Visualization of a hypergolic liquid fuel spray in the course of combustion by laser tomography - First applications to granulometry and droplet velocimetry
Abstract
The feasibility of using laser tomography to visualize a liquid fuel spray in the course of combustion is demonstrated. Tests carried out in various configurations have shown that it is possible to measure both the global characteristics (expansion, distribution of the liquid phase) and local characteristics (granuolmetry) of the fuel spray.
