Running rings round modellers
Abstract
The present state of models of planetary rings is reviewed. It is concluded that a convergence towards a common picture of the rings is now taking place. Both the structure and the origin of rings can be explained by a multitude of small moons, still unseen, orbiting nearby or among the rings.
