Thin film boundary conditions
Abstract
Approximate thin-film boundary conditions are derived which are independent of the problem's geometry and facilitate the derivation of a simpler integral equation or variational formulation. Cases of a resistive card and a thin coating over perfect electric conductor are considered. These thin-film boundary conditions, which can be applied to the method of moments and the finite element method, reduce the number of unknowns and provide a stable numerical solution.
