FDTD modeling of thin impedance sheets
Abstract
The ability of the FDTD method to easily and accurately model scattering by sheet impedances is demonstrated by comparing FDTD results for scattering from flat plates modeled using sheet impedances with the method of moments results. The approach described here is directly applicable to the YEE cell and demonstrates good accuracy for frequencies up to approximately 12 cells per wavelength.
