Results are presented of 21-cm observations carried out in search of high-velocity H I gas in T Tauri. The results reveal the presence of an atomic gas of about 150-km/sec velocity, with an associated mass of 0.003 solar mass and a mass-loss rate of about 7 x 10 exp -7 solar mass/yr. It is suggested that the high-velocity neutral wind is the driving mechanism of the observed molecular outflow. The plausibility of this argument is supported by the report of Giovanardi et al. (1992), who detected a neutral atomic wind in L1551.
