Phase conjugation on an excited acoustically nonlinear surface
Abstract
The effect of the phase conjugation of an acoustic wave incident on a nonlinear surface excited by an external source is examined. The surface is characterized by a high nonlinearity coefficient and resonance properties. It is shown that a phase conjugation efficiency of 10 percent can be obtained for a pumping power of 170 W/sq and a signal frequency of 13 kHz. An implementation of such a system is proposed, and its characteristic parameters are calculated.
