X-ray counts of Active Galactic Nuclei in Einstein extended medium sensitivity survey
Abstract
An AGN subsample extracted from an Eistein extended medium sensitivity survey sample is used to study AGN number density-limiting flux for fluxes from 5 x 10 exp -14 to 1 x 10 exp -11 erg/sq cm/s in an 0.3-3.5 energy band. It is estimated that 13.5 percent of X-ray background comes from AGN which are are brighter than 5 x 10 exp -14 erg/sq cm/s.
