The EUVE Archive
Abstract
The Extreme Ultraviolet Explorer (EUVE) public archive opened for business on July 17, 1992. The purpose of the archive is the storage of EUVE data and distribution of public domain EUVE data, ancilliary documentation and software. As the mission proceeds, the all-sky survey, deep survey and spectroscopic data will become publicly available through a variety of interfaces. The archive currently contains publicly released spectra and detector images from in-orbit calibrations of the telescopes, bibliographies of papers from the UCB Space Astrophysics Group and the UCB Center for EUV Astrophysics, back issues of the EUVE electronic newsletter, and documentation related to GO proposals and data rights policies. Data in the EUVE archive are currently or are planned to be available through electronic mail, ftp, US Mail, fax transmission, the NASA Astrophysics Data System, and on CDROMs. In this paper, we describe the current and future contents, access methods, and development plans for the archive. This work has been supported by NASA contracts NAS5-30180 and NAS5-29298.
