Anomalous structural behaviour of the high-temperature superconducting compound La(1.8)Sr(0.2)CuO(4-y)
Abstract
High resolution neutron and X-ray results are considered with special emphasis laid on some anomalous features connected with the tetragonal to orthorhombic phase transition. A theoretical model based on random fields of lattice strains is given in order to explain the enhancement of T(sub c).
