Minimizing deorbit maneuvers by hodographic analysis
Abstract
The relationship between the orbit adjust maneuver time and the deorbit state for the Space Shuttle is examined. A numerical method which uses the hodograph plane for minimizing the deorbit maneuver is derived and demonstrated.
