Influence of residual stress and frozen strain on tensile strength of epoxy strip with a circular hole
Abstract
The residual stress generated in the molding process of thermosetting resins exerts a serious influence upon the mechanical properties. This paper is concerned with the influence of residual stress and frozen strain generated in the rapid cooling on the tensile strength of epoxy strip with a circular hole. It is clear that this tensile strength is directly dependent on the residual stress, although it is independent of the frozen strain in this case.
