Physical effects in correlated quantum states
Abstract
The properties of correlated coherent states (CCSs) are investigated. The physical meaning of the generalized coordinates and pulses of photon and phonon fields are clarified; methods for the generation and calculation of correlated states are examined; and distribution functions of quanta in CCSs are analyzed. Such quantum effects as spreading and tunneling of a correlated packet are examined, and the influence of correlation and squeezing on these effects is shown. The orthogonality property of multidimensional Hermite polynomials is proved.
