Intensive plasma energy release behind a shock wave and flow patterns
Abstract
Experiments show the effect of the flow pattern reconstruction behind a shock wave: they show the formation of additional shock waves with 'flashes' of radiation. In this work, suggested radiation models are investigated which at certain parameters may lead to the abrupt increase by (3-4 times) of gas density behind the shock wave. With the aid of computation of plasma flow behind shock wave, the volume of activated particles interaction has been determined at which essential changes of the entire flow pattern take place. In addition, comparison has been made between the calculated volume and the Debye volume of interaction. Interpretation of results and ways of its use are considered.
