Calculation of a ring seal of a polymer composite material
Abstract
The stress-strain state of a ring seal of a polymer composite material is analyzed with allowance for the effect of friction and wear. The effect of heat released during friction and wear on stress relaxation is not considered since heat transfer from the seal is continuous. Expressions are obtained which describe the relaxation processes in the seal with allowance for the seal geometry, operating conditions, and friction parameters.
