Stationary and nonstationary responses of non-linear dynamic instability of laminated angle-ply composite beams
Abstract
The stationary and nonstationary responses of dynamic instability of laminated angle-ply beams are studied using an asymptotic method. The stationary and nonstationary solutions are obtained. The effects of the fiber orientation, the coupling stiffness, the initial stationary amplitude, the rate as well as direction of the sweeps are analyzed. The results show that these factors play an important role in determining design criteria.
