Physically based microcrack propagation laws for creep-fatigue-environment interaction
Abstract
A microcrack propagation approach is developed for creep-fatigue-oxidation interaction. The approach permits treatment of fatigue crack 'initiation' and propagation within the same conceptual framework. Good correlation is achieved for high temperature and thermomechanical fatigue of two nickel-base superalloys. A multiaxial generalization of the approach is presented.
