Upper critical field of bipolaron superconductors
Abstract
It is shown that small-radius bipolarons localized at the lattice sites can be formed by electrons in narrow-band crystals with strong electron-phonon interaction and that, for all concentrations, the properties of bipolarons can be described using an equivalent Bose Hamiltonian. The upper critical magnetic field, H(c2), for an arbitrary bipolaron concentration and taking into account anisotropy was determined. The temperature dependence curves of the H(c2) field are used to explain the anomalous behavior of this field in high-temperature superconductors.
