Calculation of steadystate threedimensional flows of viscous gases and chemically reacting gas mixtures
Abstract
In an earlier study (Strelets and Shur, 1988), a method, referred to as the compressibility scaling method, has been developed for the numerical modeling of twodimensional steadystate compressible flows for arbitrary freestream Mach numbers. Here, the method is extended to the case of threedimensional steadystate flows of viscous gases and multicomponent gas mixtures in the presence of chemical reactions. The capabilities of the finite difference algorithm proposed here are illustrated by two examples.
