Using the generalized Enskog method to calculate transfer processes in an ionized gas
Abstract
The application of the Enskog method to the calculation of kinetic coefficients in a nonequilibrium mixture of reacting gases with an arbitrary degree of ionization is discussed. The version of the Enskog method proposed here is shown to be a reliable and efficient means of determining the transfer characteristics of partially ionized gases. The formulas used are convenient for implementation in computer software.
