Stability of dynamic systems with respect to part of the variables
Abstract
A method is proposed for investigating problems of dynamic system stability with respect to part of variable processes described by ordinary differential equations. The method is based on linear and nonlinear transformations of the initial systems which yield a certain auxiliary linear system. Based on the Liapunov stability analysis of the latter, a conclusion is made concerning the partial stability of the initial system. Stability conditions, with respect to part of the variables, are obtained for linear and nonlinear systems. The method is also applicable to the analysis of nonlinear controlled systems. Problems of satellite stabilization in orbit and attitude control of a spacecraft are examined as an example.
