Molten phase of the flux line lattice in a high T C superconductor as a quantum fluid
Abstract
It is shown that the melting of the flux line lattice in the high Tc Superconductors is dominated by the zero point fluctuations and that the molten phase must be treated as a quantum fluid. It is pointed out that the use if equipartition theorem in connection with the Lindemann criterion for melting in all the previous works may be inappropriate.
