Determination of displacements, strain, and rotations from holographic interferometry data using a 2-D fringe order function
Abstract
This work presents an approach to compute, at the same time, the displacement field and its derivatives from a two-dimensional representation of the fringe order function. Those concepts are convenient to use with digital image processing systems. Some simplifications of those general equations for particular cases are discussed. The complete displacement field and its derivatives, strains, and rotations are measured in a disc under diametrical compression as an example of application. A digital image filtering technique, for speckle noise reduction, is also introduced.
