Measuring the Stars
Abstract
The history of attempts to measure the size of stars is reviewed. The role of interferometry is emphasized, including the Michelson interferometer, the intensity interferometer, and the Narrabri interferometer. New approaches being developed to study the size of stars are briefly considered.
