The alpha parameters of wormholes
Abstract
The author presents the argument that one can replace wormholes by effective interactions considering quantum field theories in one and two dimensions in which the topology is not fixed in advance. Attention is given to Feynman diagrams and string theory. It is shown that alpha parameters are essentially classical quantities and that they are the different modes of a single quantum field.
