a New Calculational Technique for ThreeBody Final States
Abstract
A comprehensive theory for an accurate calculation of the sticking fraction in muon catalyzed deuteriumtritium fusion is presented. The kinematic point transformation between the two Jacobi basis sets used in this theory requires the evaluation of a series expansion in terms of certain Bessel integrals. A new closed formula is obtained for these integrals. An approximation for the present theory is compared numerically to an existing theory introduced by Jackson.
