a New Calculational Technique for Three-Body Final States
Abstract
A comprehensive theory for an accurate calculation of the sticking fraction in muon catalyzed deuterium-tritium fusion is presented. The kinematic point transformation between the two Jacobi basis sets used in this theory requires the evaluation of a series expansion in terms of certain Bessel integrals. A new closed formula is obtained for these integrals. An approximation for the present theory is compared numerically to an existing theory introduced by Jackson.
